Who are we?

We are SGEpicora! We’re a group of youths in Singapore that love musicals and want to share in the joy and fun of this genre of entertainment by growing this community. Our goal is to provide a safe space for casual fans, diehard fans, and professionals in the theatre industry. Whether you’re just a listener of the music, a huge fan, or actively participating and acting or directing in productions of musicals, we aim to make this community one for you, and one for all.

What we do

We host events, we arrange get-togethers, celebrate, and spread the sense of togetherness and family between everyone within the theatre niche. Whether it be events for the holidays, relaxed karaoke sessions, milestone celebrations, or fun-filled activities, we create third-spaces for theatre kids to enjoy. Singapore is incredibly lackluster in fandom-related communities, especially regarding musical fandoms. And so, we actively work to connect you with fellow theatre kids within the country, so that you get to remember, you’re never alone in your joy.

Besides connecting and hosting events, we enjoy handing opportunities to students and youth to try their hand at something different. Instead of forcing through school events, CCA hours or community volunteering that you have no personal attachment to, we’d help you exercise the freedom to build a portfolio out of what you’d be genuinely passionate about. We let youth step up to manage our events, lead our creative initiatives, run our social platforms, and design community experiences from scratch. Should you join us, you would have the opportunity to gain real, practical experience in event planning, management, marketing, and community building while staying fully rooted in the theatre world we all love. By taking ownership of actual projects within our community, you wouldn’t just collect hours, you would’ve built an authentic, stand-out portfolio made entirely of things you genuinely enjoyed doing.

What we’ve done

We’ve celebrated milestones and holidays together, we’ve hosted both online and in-person karaoke sessions, and we’ve hosted a booth at Randamu SG 2026! Furthermore, we’ve had many picnics so far. (Which means you can get free food, as long as you contribute with more food or vibes.)

What’s gonna happen

The future is always uncertain, and as a youth-led space, we know we’ll face our fair share of rough patches along the way. But just as we’ve always done, our community will keep its doors wide open.

We’ll keep bringing people together, hosting relaxed hangouts, celebrating milestones, pulling off conventions, throwing seasonal bashes, and screaming along at late-night karaoke sessions. At our core, we exist to give new friendships, fresh ideas, and real opportunities a place to root and grow. Through every high and low, we’re dedicated to keeping this safe haven alive, helping our youth thrive through the pure, unfiltered joy of musical theatre.
