Welcome to Claxon Presents! Whether you’re coming to your first party night, bringing a deck to a game or working a brand booth, we want you to feel welcome here.

This Code applies at activities Claxon Presents organises, co-hosts or delivers with partners, and in our official online spaces. It covers guests, creators, performers, clients, brand teams, photographers, vendors, volunteers, moderators and staff. It also covers event-related messages and conduct that directly affects someone’s safety at an activity.

Our Pledge

  • We’ll help you find support if something at an event makes you feel unsafe.
  • We’ll listen, take reports seriously and treat the people involved fairly.
  • We’ll explain our decisions as far as privacy and safety allow and give you a way to ask for a review.

Being Part of the Community

A few everyday choices make a difference on a crowded floor, at a booth or in a photo queue.

  • Ask before hugging someone, touching a costume or prop, putting an arm around a performer, or joining someone’s photo. Wait for a clear yes. If someone steps back or changes their mind, give them space.
  • Ask before filming someone up close or tagging them. A photo together is permission for that photo, not for an advertisement. Never film in changing rooms, toilets or other private areas. Avoid filming someone who is distressed or intoxicated.
  • Keep meet-and-greets within the announced time and space. Respect artists’ breaks, backstage areas and personal accounts. A ticket, gift or paid collaboration gives you no claim to someone’s private time.

Behaviour That Crosses the Line

Bullying, discriminatory abuse, sexual harassment, unwanted attention, threats, stalking, doxxing, intimidation and violence are grounds for action. Stop when someone asks you to stop. Never follow someone to another venue or online account to continue unwanted contact.

Creators, clients and production teams respect agreed working areas, credits and personal boundaries. If you work on a campaign, keep private briefs, unreleased content, guest lists and contact details within the authorised team. Nobody may pressure another person into a pose, endorsement or personal meeting outside the brief.

Sharing the Floor and the Stage

  • Leave exits, accessible routes and staff lanes clear. Give people room to dance, move or leave. Check the event’s costume and prop limits before you travel. Keep large accessories and light sticks clear of other people’s faces.
  • At a screening, put recording devices away when instructed. At a performance or creator showcase, follow the rules on flash, filming and livestreaming. Ask the event lead if you are unsure.
  • If you’re visiting a booth or workshop, ask the host before testing products or handling a display. If you’re running the activity or creating content, ask each guest before including them in promotional material. Guests can decline photos, samples or marketing sign-ups without pressure.

Playing and Trading Fairly

  • Ask before picking up someone else’s cards, rack or tiles. Agree on the items, condition and payment before a trade. Give the other person time to check and room to walk away.
  • If you disagree about a play, score or trade, pause and call the session lead. Follow the published game and challenge rules.
  • We may remove anyone who cheats, knowingly passes off a counterfeit as genuine, pressures someone into a trade or takes part in unapproved wagering.

Looking After Each Other on a Night Out

  • Follow the age, ID and entry rules for each part of the event, including any afterparty. Never lend an ID or wristband, buy alcohol for someone underage, pressure anyone to drink, or tamper with a drink.
  • If someone feels unwell, thinks a drink was tampered with, or cannot safely find their friends, get venue staff or security straight away. Give them privacy and space. In immediate danger, contact local emergency services.

Our Team Has Responsibilities Too

If you’re under 18, our staff will contact you only about the event or your agreed engagement. Our staff will use only official Claxon Presents channels for routine messages. You can end a personal DM, ask for a parent or guardian to join the conversation, or request another staff member. Our staff will never ask you to keep an interaction secret.

You can report a sensitive concern privately. If it involves a staff member, you can speak directly to another event lead or to venue security. We limit access to the people who need the information to help you or review what happened.

Need Help or Want to Report Something

  • At the event, speak to a Claxon Presents event lead, venue staff or security. If you need help leaving an interaction, you can simply say, “I’d like to speak to staff somewhere quiet.”
  • After the event or online, email events@claxontournaments.net. Include the event, approximate time and what happened. You can report for a friend or as a witness. You can ask for help even if you have no screenshots or are unsure which rule applies.
  • Keep sensitive evidence private. For privacy concerns or sensitive personal documents, email dpo@claxontournaments.net. Tell us if your concern involves the person who would normally receive the report so we can assign someone else.

How We Handle Reports

We first consider immediate safety. Staff may separate people, stop filming, pause an activity or ask someone to leave while we look into a concern. We share details only as needed to address the issue or meet legal obligations. We welcome honest reports and take retaliation seriously.

What Happens If a Rule Is Broken

We consider what happened, how serious it was and who was affected. Where appropriate, we give the person involved a chance to respond. Depending on what happened, we may take these steps.

  • Give guidance or a warning.
  • Remove content from channels we manage.
  • Ask someone to leave the event or restrict their participation in future activities.

For serious incidents, we may involve the venue or the relevant authorities.

Think We Got It Wrong

If a decision affects you, we will explain it as far as privacy and safety allow. To request a review, email events@claxontournaments.net with the event name, the decision and what you would like us to reconsider. Someone uninvolved in the original decision will review it where practicable.
