Terms of Service
Last updated: 4 November 2026
1 Your Agreement with Claxon
Who we are
“We”, “us”, “our”, “Claxon” and “CLT” mean Claxon Tournaments Pte. Ltd. (UEN 202134509D). Our address is 68 Circular Road #02-01, Singapore. We also use the name “ClaxonTourney” on Instagram and Twitter (X). These names refer to the same company for the purposes of these Terms.
Who you are
“You” and “your” mean the person registering for or taking part in an event or using our official communities or related services. We may also call you a “Player”, “Participant”, “Registrant”, “Competitor” or “Entrant”. These labels do not change your responsibilities under these Terms.
Events these Terms cover
These Terms apply to all Claxon events, including events we organise, co-organise or deliver in partnership with others, and our official communities and related services. For partnered events, they govern your participation in our activities and the services we provide; a partner’s own terms may also apply to its services.

What you agree to
We make the following documents available before you register or pay. By registering, checking in or playing a match after clear notice that these actions signify agreement, you agree to all three for the entire event, from its first day to its last.
- These Terms of Service.
- Our Code of Conduct.
- The published rules for your event.
Read these documents before accepting and keep a copy of the version that applies to your registration. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your personal data.
By accepting for another person or team, you confirm that you are authorised to accept these Terms and grant the permissions they contain on their behalf.
2 Eligibility and Parental Approval
- Age and eligibility: You need to be at least 13. For these Terms, you are a minor for the entire event if you were under 18 on the date you registered for it. Higher game, platform, event or legal requirements still apply.
- Parental approval: By registering or participating, you confirm that you have obtained your parent’s or legal guardian’s approval if you are a minor. Where required, your parent or guardian also needs to accept these Terms on your behalf.
- Verification: We may request reasonable evidence of parental approval or eligibility. Your declaration does not replace any consent or verification required by applicable law.
- Missing or false approval: If required parental approval was not obtained, your declaration was false, or you cannot provide requested evidence within a reasonable deadline, we may refuse or suspend participation, disqualify you and forfeit or reassign prizes affected by that ineligibility. We will explain the concern and give you a reasonable opportunity to respond. These consequences apply to the extent permitted by law, under these Terms and the published event rules; reviews and appeals follow our Code of Conduct.
- Account details: Provide accurate information and meet each platform’s account requirements.
- Third-party accounts: A Discord, game or tournament-platform account does not by itself confirm that we have verified parental approval for participation in our events.
- Under 13: You cannot participate, even if another service allows you to create an account.
3 Platforms, Teams & Event Rules
Registering through another platform
We may require you to register with or use a designated third-party platform as a condition of entry, including to fulfil an event partnership or sponsorship agreement. We will identify this requirement before you register or pay.
- These platforms may support registration, event scheduling, tournament brackets, check-in, match reporting, prize distribution and other event functions.
- The platform’s own terms and privacy policy apply to its services and may require separate acceptance. Any personal data we share is handled under our Privacy Policy and applicable law.
Our registration page or partner registration instructions direct you to the applicable Terms, Code of Conduct and event rules. We also share them through our official event channels. Review them before registering, paying or taking part. Section 1 explains how you agree to them.
Captains and team representatives
If you register or act for a team, you are responsible for:
- Obtaining authority to submit the team’s information.
- Sharing event notices and maintaining an eligible roster.
- Ensuring every player receives and accepts the applicable terms or provides the required authorisation.
Your registration and account
- Give us accurate registration, payment and contact details. We send official notices through the event’s official Discord channel or the contact details you declared at registration. Keep those details current and check for updates. Captains are responsible for passing team notices to their players.
- Protect your accounts and report unauthorised use promptly.
We may rely on information and instructions from your registered account or authorised representative unless we have reasonable grounds to doubt them.
How the rules work
- Event rules cover the format, eligibility, schedule, check-in, roster limits, devices, evidence, disconnects, scoring, protest deadlines and prizes.
- These Terms govern your general relationship with us. Event-specific rules govern the event matters listed above.
- An event rule overrides a liability provision in these Terms only if it expressly identifies that provision and its intended replacement.
- Publisher, platform and venue rules apply to their respective services.
Event rules do not remove mandatory legal rights or expand media permissions without appropriate consent.
4 Fees and Booking
- Entry fees: Most of our tournaments are free. Where a fee applies, we will show the organiser, total entry charge, currency, applicable taxes and unavoidable charges on the registration page before you pay.
- Booking confirmation: You can register and pay before a place is confirmed. An unexpected venue change may reduce the number of teams we can accommodate. We allocate available places under the published event process and notify affected entrants if capacity changes.
- Other costs: Your travel, accommodation and incidental expenses remain your responsibility, subject to applicable law.
5 Withdrawals, Cancellations and Refunds
If you withdraw or cannot participate
- Entry fees are committed to event planning, logistics and other services.
- If you withdraw voluntarily, fail eligibility or check-in requirements, do not attend, or cannot participate because of your own equipment, connection or account issues, the entry fee is non-refundable, subject to applicable law.
- We may consider an exception where death, bereavement, natural disaster or a similarly serious circumstance prevents participation.
- Requests shall be made promptly with reasonable supporting information.
- Any exception is assessed individually and does not create an entitlement to the same treatment in another case.
If we cancel or postpone
- If we cancel an event without delivering it, we refund the entry fee you paid to us. If we receive your entry fee but cannot offer or honour your place because we reduce capacity, we refund that fee unless you choose an alternative place or event.
- If we postpone the event and you cannot attend the new date, you may request an entry-fee refund rather than transfer to the rescheduled event.
- These are organiser-change refunds and are distinct from ordinary voluntary withdrawal.
- We notify affected participants through the event’s official Discord channel or their declared contact details. We explain how to request a refund, how long you have to respond and when to expect payment.
- We will give you a reasonable opportunity to respond.
How refunds work
- Refunds are made through the original payment method or another agreed secure method.
- We will explain how separately charged third-party fees are treated before you pay, in line with applicable law.
- If an event is interrupted after partial delivery, we will assess any refund by reference to the services delivered, the event terms and applicable law.
- The refund arrangements in this section do not include reimbursement of separately incurred travel, accommodation, equipment, lost earnings or other incidental expenses except where the law requires otherwise.
6 Prizes and Adult Representatives
Claiming prizes and appointing an adult representative
- Prizes are subject to the published eligibility, placement, verification and claim requirements.
- We may withhold release while a relevant eligibility or integrity concern is investigated, or until required information is provided.
- We will only forfeit or reassign prizes in line with the announced event rules and supported findings or an applicable, pre-announced claim deadline.
- For a team prize, appoint a captain aged 18 or older, or another authorised adult, to receive the money. If you win individually and were under 18 when you registered, your parent or legal guardian receives the money for you or authorises another adult to do so, where the law allows.
- Each adult representative needs a supported, verified payment method and authority to receive the prize on behalf of the named winner or team. We may ask for evidence of that authority before payment.
- When a properly authorised adult receives the prize on behalf of a team or individual minor, we have met our payment obligation to that extent, subject to applicable law. The representative is responsible for passing the money to the winner or distributing it within the team. We remain responsible for our own breach or payment error.
Payment timing and details
- Prizes are normally sent within 2–8 weeks after the event ends, with up to four additional weeks where reasonably needed for disputes, verification, regulatory or payment-processing issues.
- We will notify affected winners of delays and next steps.
- To claim your prize, submit complete and accurate recipient details through the official claim channel within one calendar month after the event concludes. For a minor or team winner, this includes the authorised adult’s recipient details.
- If a transfer fails or is returned, we will contact you through Discord or your declared contact details and explain what needs correcting. Provide corrected details or a supported alternative within the reasonable deadline we give you. A timely claim stays valid while a bank or provider resolves a payment issue outside your control.
- The same transfer and currency-conversion rules apply to a retry. If incorrect details you supplied cause a return or retry, you bear the actual third-party costs. We cover extra costs caused by our own error. A failed or returned transfer does not count as a completed payout.
- If you do not provide the required recipient details by that one-month deadline, you forfeit the affected prize, subject to applicable law. We publish the deadline and submission instructions in the event rules. The deadline is for submitting details, even if payment is scheduled for a later date.
Sponsor prizes, taxes and charges
- Where a prize is expressly identified before registration as supplied and fulfilled directly by a named sponsor, that sponsor is responsible for delivery and any manufacturer or supplier warranty.
- Claxon coordinates communications but does not guarantee an independent sponsor’s performance unless we expressly undertake that obligation.
- This does not remove Claxon’s own contractual obligations or responsibility for its representations.
- Prize substitutions are permitted only under disclosed event rules and applicable law.
Prize transfer costs
- Advertised cash prizes are gross amounts. You bear actual third-party costs of sending and receiving your prize, including transfer, intermediary-bank and receiving-bank fees, as well as taxes legally payable by you. Your bank may charge to receive an international transfer. We may deduct actual sender-side charges from your prize. We do not add a markup or charge the same fee twice.
- Exchange rates vary. If the payout involves conversion, the provider’s rate at processing determines the converted amount. You bear the conversion fees and any exchange-rate difference. The amount credited to your account may therefore be lower than the advertised prize.
- We use Aspire as a payment partner. Once your payout details are confirmed, we may send your prize without first notifying you of the transfer, its fees or the exchange rate, unless the law requires us to do so. For information about transfer methods, fees and currency conversion, refer to Aspire’s international transfer guide and multi-currency transfer-fee guide. Fees and rates depend on the currency, route, provider and processing time; these guides are general information, not a guaranteed quotation for your payout. Intermediary and receiving-bank charges may apply separately.
- We aim to minimise transfer costs where practical. We only deduct third-party fees actually charged for your transfer.
Gaming for Good: sharing your win
In line with our Gaming for Good pledge, we encourage winners to donate some or all of their prizes to our partnered charities, causes or social enterprises. We will share the supported organisations and available donation channels through our official channels.
Donating is entirely optional and does not affect your eligibility, results or prize entitlement. We will not deduct or redirect a prize without the prize holder’s express authorisation. Team representatives need the affected prize holders’ approval, and parental or guardian approval is required where applicable. We do not promise tax deductibility.
7 Operational Changes
When we may change an event
- We may reasonably reschedule, suspend, relocate, change the format of or cancel an event where needed for safety, technical problems, insufficient participation where a minimum was disclosed, integrity concerns, publisher restrictions or events beyond our reasonable control.
- These may include severe weather, natural disasters, public-health restrictions, government action, power or network failures, cyberattacks despite reasonable precautions, or third-party service outages.
- We are not responsible for delay or non-performance to the extent caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control and not reasonably avoidable through appropriate measures.
- We will take reasonable steps to reduce disruption and notify affected participants of material changes.
- Section 5 continues to govern cancellation and postponement refunds; this section does not authorise arbitrary changes to essential paid-entry commitments or announced prizes.
8 Event Media and Intellectual Property
Event coverage and Claxon promotion
- Our event coverage permission applies throughout the event, including qualifiers, match days, finals and award presentations, whether the event lasts one day or several weeks. With appropriate notice, consent and subject to applicable law, we may record gameplay, gamer tags, voices and event images and use them in livestreams, highlights, recaps, archives and promotion of Claxon tournaments, including after the event.
- The permission is non-exclusive and does not transfer ownership of participants’ original content.
- It extends only to rights the participant can grant and does not override publisher rights.
- Production providers may act for Claxon for these purposes.
Sponsor advertising
- Ordinary event coverage may contain sponsor logos or event branding.
- Sponsors receive no independent right to use your identity or content in product advertising under these Terms.
- Any exceptional sponsor advertising use requires separate, specific permission, with parental or guardian approval where applicable.
- Claxon ordinarily avoids such uses.
- We will not use the standard event permission to imply a personal endorsement of a sponsor.
- Privacy concerns and withdrawal requests are handled under the Privacy Policy and applicable law.
Content and branding
- Claxon’s branding and original materials, and third parties’ protected materials, remain with their owners.
- Do not upload content you lack permission to provide or use Claxon branding to imply an unauthorised partnership.
- Broadcast, restream and spectator-recording permissions may be specified by event or publisher rules.
Fan-made content: create, share and credit
We welcome shorts, clips, compilations, memes, commentary and other fan posts inspired by our events. Subject to the rules below, we give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable permission to use the Claxon-owned material we have publicly released for community fan content. You keep ownership of your original contributions; our source material remains ours.
- Credit the source: Clearly credit Claxon Tournaments / @ClaxonTourney, name the event and link to the original livestream or source post where available. Put the credit in a visible caption, description or on-screen notice. For multiple sources, identify each relevant event or stream.
- Keep the branding: Do not crop out, blur, cover, replace or otherwise remove Claxon logos, watermarks or credits, or sponsor and partner branding appearing in the source material you use. Reformatting for shorts is welcome if the relevant branding remains visible and legible. Ask us if your format cannot preserve it.
- Add your own contribution: Make something creative, informative or entertaining. This permission does not cover simply reposting a full match, livestream or substantially complete broadcast. Obtain our written permission for full or substantial rebroadcasts, live restreams or co-streams, unless published event rules expressly allow them. Follow any stated embargo or broadcast delay.
- Keep it clearly unofficial: Do not imply that we, a sponsor or a partner created, endorsed or sponsored your post. Identify it as unofficial fan content where confusion is possible. Our branding cannot become your channel logo or be used to impersonate an official account.
- Respect people and context: Do not use misleading edits, fabricated quotes or deceptive synthetic media. Do not include unlawful, hateful, harassing, defamatory or sexually exploitative content, expose private information, or use our material to promote scams, cheating or unlawful activity. Memes and humour are welcome within these boundaries.
- Respect other rights: Our permission covers only rights we control. Obtain any necessary rights for music, game assets, participant contributions and other third-party material. Follow publisher, platform and event restrictions; a source appearing in our broadcast does not mean we can license every element to you.
- Commercial use: Ordinary platform advertising revenue on an individual creator’s freely accessible fan post is permitted only where the relevant publisher and other rights holders also allow it. Paid sponsorships using our material, paid access, merchandise, resale and licensing require our prior written permission and any other necessary approvals.
- Do not claim our source as yours: Do not register our footage or audio in automated rights-management systems, such as Content ID, or issue ownership claims against our original content or other authorised uses.
- Corrections and removal: We reserve the right to withdraw this permission and request correction or removal of content we reasonably consider unfit, inappropriate, misleading, demeaning to our brand or inconsistent with these rules. If you rely on our permission, stop the affected use and comply promptly with a valid request. We may remove content from channels we control and seek platform removal or other remedies where we have lawful grounds.
This policy does not remove uses permitted by law, including applicable fair-use rights. It does not give us an automatic right to remove lawful criticism or review. To request permission or discuss a removal request, contact contact@claxontournaments.net.
9 Conduct, Suspension and Fair Process
Rule breaches and enforcement
- We may refuse an incomplete, ineligible or fraudulent registration, or restrict access, remove content, disqualify, suspend or exclude a participant for a breach of the Code of Conduct, these Terms or event rules, or where reasonably necessary to address safety or integrity concerns.
- Temporary measures may apply while a concern is investigated.
- Live operational rulings take effect immediately, subject to the event protest process.
- Disciplinary review and appeals follow the Code.
- Entry fees may be forfeited for a justified disqualification where that consequence was clearly disclosed and is lawful.
- Unrelated earned prizes are not automatically forfeited.
10 Responsibility and Liability
Your equipment, safety and participation
- You are responsible for your equipment, internet connection, compatible software, account access, travel arrangements and personal belongings.
- Follow safety instructions and stop participating if you feel unwell or unsafe.
- You acknowledge the ordinary risks of online and in-person competition, including connection failures, competitive stress and accidental equipment damage.
- This acknowledgement does not waive liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
10.1 Third-party services
Games, platforms, payment services, venues and sponsor products may be operated independently of Claxon. We do not control or warrant their uninterrupted availability, security or performance.
We are not responsible for independent third-party acts or omissions except to the extent that responsibility cannot lawfully be excluded or the loss results from Claxon’s own breach. No competition result, ranking, exposure, commercial opportunity or prize win is guaranteed.
10.2 Excluded losses
To the fullest extent permitted by law and subject to section 10.5, Claxon is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or losses of profit, business, revenue, goodwill, anticipated savings or commercial opportunity arising from the services, whether in contract, tort (including negligence) or otherwise. These exclusions do not remove an express obligation to pay an earned prize or refund under these Terms.
10.3 Limit on liability
For each event, we add together all covered claims you bring against Claxon for that event. Your total compensation is limited to the higher of S$1,000 or the total entry fees you paid Claxon for that event. Each claimant has a separate limit.
For claims unrelated to a particular event, the total limit is S$1,000 for claims arising from the same incident or series of related incidents. These limits apply regardless of the legal basis of the claim, to the extent permitted by law and subject to section 10.5.
Any entry-fee refund we owe under section 5 and any earned prize we are contractually required to pay remain payable outside the cap.
How the limit works in practice
- Equipment damage at a free event. Suppose we damage your device and are liable for S$1,800 in repairs. If the cap applies, the most you can recover is S$1,000. If the repair costs S$300, the most you can recover for that repair is S$300.
- Two claims at the same event. If your covered losses are S$700 and S$600 at the same free event, they share one S$1,000 limit. Another player’s claim uses that player’s own limit.
- Entry fees above S$1,000. If you paid Claxon S$1,200 in entry fees for the event, your limit for covered claims from that event is S$1,200.
- Prizes and refunds. If we owe you a S$3,000 prize, the cap does not reduce the prize. The agreed transfer terms still apply. Likewise, if we owe you a S$150 entry-fee refund, the full S$150 remains payable.
- Personal injury. If our negligence causes you a personal injury, section 10.5 excludes that liability from the cap.
10.4 Loss prevention and recovery
You shall take reasonable steps to avoid or reduce a loss and shall not recover the same loss more than once. Please notify Claxon promptly of an issue and provide information reasonably needed to investigate or remedy it.
These requirements do not shorten a statutory claim period or prevent a lawful report to an authority.
10.5 Legal limits
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability or right that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Every exclusion, limitation and reimbursement obligation applies only to the extent permitted by applicable law, including any requirement of reasonableness.
10.6 Participant responsibility for third-party claims
To the extent permitted by law, you shall reimburse Claxon for reasonable, documented losses and legal costs arising from a third-party claim to the extent caused by your fraud, deliberate misconduct, unlawful conduct or knowing infringement of another person’s intellectual property or privacy rights in material you submit. This does not require you to cover loss caused by Claxon’s own negligence, breach or misconduct, or another person’s independent wrongdoing.
We will notify you reasonably promptly, allow you a reasonable opportunity to respond and cooperate, and will not agree a settlement imposing obligations on you without your consent, which shall not be unreasonably withheld. This clause applies only where a valid and enforceable agreement exists with the person against whom it is relied upon.
11 Complaints, Governing Law and Updates
Complaints and disputes
- Send complaints and claim notices to contact@claxontournaments.net or an official Discord support ticket, with the event details and supporting information.
- Match protests and disciplinary appeals follow the event rules and Code.
- The parties should first attempt to resolve a dispute through discussion; mediation may be agreed.
- Singapore law governs these Terms.
- Subject to any mandatory right to use another forum, the Singapore courts have exclusive jurisdiction.
- This clause does not prevent urgent protective relief or a complaint to a regulator or law-enforcement authority.
Updates and other terms
- We may update these Terms and will communicate material changes through appropriate channels.
- The version you agree to when registering or first actively participating ordinarily applies throughout that event.
- Changes required by law or urgent safety needs may take effect with appropriate notice; other material changes to an existing commitment require appropriate agreement.
- Failure to enforce a provision immediately is not a waiver.
- If a provision is unenforceable, the remainder continues so far as legally possible.
- These Terms, the accepted event rules and the Code form the agreement for participation, without excluding liability for fraud or rights that cannot be excluded.
- Only an authorised Claxon representative may agree a variation on Claxon’s behalf.
- Separately signed client, supplier, employment and sponsorship contracts govern their own subject matter.
12 Working with Clients, Brands and Sponsors
If you engage us to organise or produce a tournament, or sponsor one of our events, the written agreement between you and Claxon governs that engagement. The participant liability cap in section 10.3 does not set the liability limit for a commercial engagement. Any commercial limit is governed by the applicable agreement and law.
Bookings and deliverables. Before work begins, confirm the events covered, fees, payment dates, production responsibilities, asset deadlines, approvals and arrangements for changes or cancellation. For a multi-event partnership, identify which events qualify and what happens if one is postponed or cancelled.
Sponsorship rights. Record the agreed logo placements, on-stream ads, broadcast mentions and social posts. For title rights or category exclusivity, specify the name or category, channels, events and dates covered. Each party supplies materials it is authorised to use. Any agreed use remains subject to applicable publisher and platform rules.
Reporting and player permissions. Past audience figures describe previous events. Any guaranteed result or remedy needs to be agreed in writing. Sponsors ordinarily receive aggregate reports. Access to individual data for a defined event task is limited to that purpose under our Privacy Policy. Using a player’s identity or content in a sponsor’s own advertising requires separate, specific permission.
